Вівторок, 20 липня 6 p.m.-7 p.m. – буде можливість прийти попрощатись.
7 p.m. - священничий парастас (тільки для родини та запрошених родиною з огляду на обмеження 25 осіб.) Хто бажає, може взяти участь молячись на подвір’ї. Озвучення буде. Буде також трансляція на ютуб і фейсбук.
8 p.m.-9 p.m. – можливість попрощатись.

Отець Нестор Баранюк народився 9 березня 1936 року на Львівщині коло Бродів (Тоді Тернопільське воєводство). Закінчив місцеву середню школу. Після закінчення Богословської студії, отримав священичі свячення у катедрі Святого Юрія у Львові 1960 року. Працював священиком на Львівщині. До Канади приступив 1993 року. Залишив свою парафію церкву Усікновення Чесної Голови Йоана Хрестителя села Сілець Беньків Кам’янка-Бузького деканату, близько Добротвора. На цій парафії прослужив близько 30 років. По дорозі на священичу конференцію до Дауфіна зазнав автомобільної катастрофи, в якій загинув отець Радкевич Ярополк, тоді генеральний вікарій. Після того дорожнього випадку отець Баранюк зазнав великих тілесних пошкоджень, переніс 5 операцій, але до здоров’я не прийшов і не міг сповняти своїх священичих обов’язків.

Rev. Fr. Nestor Stepanovych Baraniouk reposed in the Lord at Winnipeg, early Wednesday, July 14, 2021. Father Nestor served as a priest for over 60 years (!) as he was ordained in Ukraine in 1960. His Beatitude Myroslav Ivan Lubachivsky gave his blessing in 1991 that Fr. Baraniuk would travel to Canada to serve within the Archeparchy of Winnipeg where his son Dr. Andrei Baranjouk was already living. He arrived in Winnipeg with his wife Anna in 1992 where he began pastoral ministry as a priest at Sts. Volodymyr and Olha Cathedral.
The funeral services for Fr. Nestor are planned to take place at Sts. Volodymyr and Olha Cathedral in Winnipeg with
Priestly Parastas on Tuesday 20 July 2021 at 7:00 PM and Funeral Divine Liturgy on Wednesday 21 July 2021 at 10:00 AM will be officiated by Most Rev. Metropolitan Metropolitan Lawrence Huculak and Most Rev. Archbishop-emeritus Stefan Soroka.

FATHER NESTOR BARANIOUK REPOSES IN THE LORD

Father Nestor Baraniouk was born on the 9th of March 1936 in the Lviv province near the city of Brody, Ukraine (which was then located within the Ternopil gubernate). After completing high school, he entered the seminary and completed his theological studies and was ordained a priest in the Cathedral of St. George in Lviv in 1960. He then began pastoral ministry in the area of Lviv. His most significant assignment was to the Parish of the Beheading of St. John the Baptist in the village of Silets' Ben'kiv in the Kamianka-Buz'k municipality where he served as pastor for 30 years. The Head of the Ukrainian Catholic Church, His Beatitude Myroslav Ivan Lubachivsky, who only a year earlier made his historic return to Ukraine after decades of Communist Soviet oppression, gave Fr. Nestor his blessing for him to go serve in Canada in the city of Winnipeg, where Fr. Nestor's son Andrew was already living. Father Nestor came to Winnipeg in 1993. He was assigned to the Metropolitan Cathedral parish of Saints Volodymyr and Olha where he served for many years.
During this time, in April of 1996 Father Nestor was traveling to a clergy conference in Dauphin with the then Vicar General Fr. Jaropolk Radkewicz, an accident occurred in which Fr. Jaropolk was killed. The trauma was a life-changing experience for Fr. Nestor as well. Due to the physical harm that he experienced, he underwent five operations and retired in 1996. He continued to serve the Lord as best he could, but unfortunately, his health never permitted him to take up full pastoral ministry again.  Father Baraniuk died in his residence here in Winnipeg early Wednesday morning on 14 July 2021.
