VICTORIA DAUBARAS

Victoria Daubaras passed away peacefully on June 2, 2021, at the age of 90. Vicki was born in Winnipeg, MB on March 29, 1931, the daughter of the late Vincent and Marija Daubaras.
She was predeceased by her brother Alfred (Al) in 2005. Vicki grew up in Fort Whyte later moving to Winnipeg. Vicki graduated from Kelvin High School and then worked for many years with the CPR in the Investigations Department. She loved to spend summers at her cottage at West Hawk Lake surrounded by family and friends and she enjoyed square dancing. Vicki was very proud of her Lithuanian heritage and was an active member of the Lithuanian community.
After her retirement, Vicki volunteered at the St. Boniface Hospital Gift Shop and the Fort Whyte WildLife Centre and was a member of the Red River Seniors. Vicki also loved to travel around the world taking pictures and enjoying different cultures. She traveled to more than 70 countries during her lifetime.
Vicki is survived by her brother Henry Daubaras and his wife Peggy; sister-in-law Sally Slay (Smaizys); nephews, David Daubaras and his wife Susan, Darcy Daubaras and his wife Fiona, and Peter Daubaras and his wife Lynne; nieces, Lisa Saladin (Daubaras) and her husband Mike, Shauna Dahl (Daubaras) and her husband Arthur; grandnieces and nephews, Matthew (Cayla), Mark (Sarah), Julia, Mollie, Claire, Madison, Teagan, Paeyton, Andrew, Ben, and Alex; great-great-niece Eleanor; and godsons, Rennie Balcuinas and Peter Frigo.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Vista Park Lodge for their care and support and extend a special thank you to Cindy Saladin, and Irene, and John Frigo for all they did to help Vicki during this last year.
