William Hodge Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving, father, grandfather and great grandfather, William Alexander Hodge.  Bill was born in Fort William, Ontario December 21, 1935.  He is predeceased by his beloved wife Eileen, his son Mark and his granddaughter Katarina.  He will be lovingly remembered by his children Kenneth, Cheryl (Ken), Brian (Julie), grandchildren Jessica (Sam), Kristopher (Jocelyn), Ken (Katie), Brendan, Tiffany (Joe), Carmaine (Edan) and great grandchildren Miles, Lochley, Arilyn, Everett, Brylee-Rose and Sophia.

Bill started his life long career with CP Rail in Thunder Bay, Ontario, where he met and married the love of his life, Eileen.  Together they started a family and moved to Winnipeg. Bill was a devoted family man who enjoyed time with his family, lighting up whenever his children, grandchildren or great grandchildren were around.  Bill had a great, wicked sense of humour and an infectious laugh that endeared him to everyone; he was easy to talk to and made friends with ease.  Bill greatly enjoyed his retirement, spending treasured time with his wife and family, travelling, trips to the casino, having lunch and coffee on the patio.

Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 2nd, 2018 at 10:00 am at the Living Word Temple, 467 Manitoba Ave.  The family would like to thank the staff at Victoria Hospital for their kindness and compassion.
